The home is messy

it all hangs from a door knob,

or a corner,

or a hook

Sometimes I think I could live

in a home of hooks

because I want to air everything out.

If all these belongings could be hung up at

eye level,

they would stay in the light

and away

from the dust,

away

from the crickets.

​

My belongings would always be

on the verge of an outing

on the verge of use

on the verge of importance...

​

The home is messy

and I am getting used to it

is it freedom

is it neglect

Don't come over

until I figure this out
